Our clients loved the character of their classical Victorian terraced house but the downstairs space was disorganised and not being fully used. The brief was to create usable and clearly defined spaces, with spaces for work/homework, reading and relaxation. We kept a unified theme throughout and deployed or repurposed existing furniture and artwork where possible, adding bespoke furniture, joinery and lighting to tie the scheme together. We introduced character to the space with strong use of colour, pattern and vintage additions. The long narrow space now feels united and works hard for the whole family, for different purposes and at different times of the day.
